Dear Maggie,
It has been such a joy to have you as one of my students over the past few years. You have become a cherished member of our growing family, and we are honored to count you among our alumni. I will always treasure your beautiful smile and the positive energy you brought to us.
My heart is with you, and I am keeping you in my prayers for a peaceful and beautiful journey. You will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my most remarkable students.
God bless you.

Maggie Garcia was a manual osteopath before continuing her osteopathic education in our Bachelor of Science program in osteopathy. She is a registered nurse and an osteopathic manual practitioner in Tennessee, USA. The message below is by her child, Jensel.
Hello friends and family,
With heavy hearts and immense gratitude, we want to share an update about my mother Maggie and her five-year battle with multiple myeloma.
Five years ago, my family asked for help so my mom could fight against a rare cancer called multiple myeloma. Your kindness and generosity gave us the gift of more time—time that has been filled with memories, love, and incredible achievements. Her doctors used every tool available, and she even traveled to the far corners of the earth in search of ways to heal.
Today, we will be transitioning her to palliative care. This will ensure her comfort and dignity, allowing her to spend her final moments at home with her family.
In these past five years, Maggie has been fortunate to experience some of life’s most important milestones.
New Babies:
She met her first grandchild, Rowan, Dom’s son.
She met her second grandchild, Declan, Dom’s son.
She met her third grandchild, Lucas, Geri’s son.
She met her fourth grandchild, Leo, Jensel’s son.
She welcomed her niece, Valeria’s baby.
She welcomed her niece, Raquel’s baby.
Family Milestones:
She celebrated Dom’s wedding.
She celebrated Jensel’s wedding.
She celebrated Klaus’s engagement.
She attended Raquel’s wedding in Germany.
She attended Jasmin’s wedding in Boston.
Her Personal Achievements:
She earned a bachelor’s degree in osteopathy to accompany her numerous degrees, certifications, and many years of experience as a registered nurse.
They say money can’t buy happiness, but without your help, she never would have met any of her grandchildren and would have only seen one of her children get married. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for the gift of these precious memories.
Her physical condition has worsened. She weighs only 84 pounds, can barely speak above a whisper, and is no longer able to read, write, or use her phone. Her mobility is very limited, but her mind remains sharp.
How to Contact Her: If you would like to leave a message on her Facebook wall, record a video, send a message, or share a photo, we will make sure she sees it. Communication requires a lot of energy, so we are not accepting calls and are limiting visits.
If you know someone who has been touched by Maggie, my mom, please let them know or share this message with them.
Her life is a testament to love, strength, and perseverance. We will be forever grateful for the time we’ve spent with her and the memories we’ve created. Your love and support have been an incredible gift to our family during this journey.
With love,
